is required to use these images for any reason except for the following
purposes, for which written or individual permission is not required:
- Websites: Links to Mary Lou's Website or online store
may be accompanied by one of Mary Lou's images copied to
your site (please do not link to the images directly on
this site). Include the text, "(c) MaryLouWeidman.com"
in the title field of the <img> tag of any of Mary
Lou's copyrighted images. Any use of Mary Lou Weidman's images
must accompanied by a link, in close proximity (or on the image
itself) to http://www.marylouquiltdesigns.com or any
subsidiary pages in that domain.
- Newsletters: Quilt Guilds or Quilt organizations are
permitted to use Mary Lou's images in their newsletter to advertise
an upcoming lecture or workshop by Mary Lou Weidman. Any image
used in a printed publication must have the phrase "(c)
MaryLouWeidman.com" printed directly under the image in a legible
typeface such as Times New Roman, Arial, or Helvetica (or printed
neatly with black pen).
- Workshops: Quilt Guilds or Quilt organizations are
permitted to print and distribute workshop descriptions and
supply lists to workshop participants.
- Promotions: If an image, pattern, or other copyrighted
work by Mary Lou Weidman is expressly denoted as a promotional
or free item, permission is granted for individuals to print
and use the image, pattern or other copyrighted work for their
own personal use only, if the copyright information on the image,
pattern or other copyrighted work remains intact. Promotional
or free patterns cannot be sold, kitted, or mass-copied without
special permission.
- For-sale patterns: Individuals have permission to make
1 backup copy of a pattern for personal use only. Patterns for
sale cannot be photocopied for redistribution, sale, or to share
with others.
Note: Mary Lou's images, designs, and patterns are protected
under copyright law, and intentional copyright violations will be
taken seriously and pursued to the full extent of the law.
