Lots of new things are coming up and I have a whole new line of quilts that I will be taking around the country to show off. I am putting more and more details into my quilts of things I remember and I don't want to forget. I am at an age where I know my memories will be going away one day and what a nice thing to have a history with the quilts that I make.
My newest quilts will be on display at the LaConner, Washington Quilt Museum. I will have a few of my older and lots of newer pieces to show there through the end of June. LaConner is a darling city that has lots of cute shops, restaurants and beauty on the water. I will be teaching a three day story quilt/creativity workshop in May for them and also a flower power class-Excellent for getting OUT OF THE BOX and into creativity, fun and new avenues to design and color. "THE BEST OF MARY LOU" fabrics by Mary Lou for Benartex. Ask your local quilt shops or check on my things for sale the end of January and I will have a variety of colorful and pretty fabrics from the line. They are awesome to work with and most of them are light givers so they give your quilts, garments and home goods OOMPH. Very pretty colors too!And I might mention that right now no one has new good colorful plaids out there with great colors and in my new fabric line I have many. Part of this line sold out immediately and has been really popular...I am waiting until March for most of the collection to offer here on my website. It is beautiful and fun to work with!
My book with Mel McFarland is being printed and soon it will be available. The book will be out in July 11th! Yu will be able to pre-order it here and I will be sending new pins and some postcards with orders.
